This track comes from one of the upcoming sequels to "The Thirteenth Hour" and is a song written by one of the characters (a minstrel in another life) to inspire and give strength to the main characters, Aurora and Logan (the girl and boy referred to in the lyrics), when they are discouraged and doubting themselves. The songwriter takes advantage of the magic in the world he finds himself in, which allows sounds from ordinary acoustic instruments carry in ways he never thought possible.

Intro: C G Am F Dm G C
C G Am F
When you were young and not old enough and you wanted to know, yeah, you wanted to know
C G Am G
All the places you’d be going to, what you’d know right now, where you’d be running to.
C G Am F
Hey, little boy, one day you’ll be a man, and all you didn’t know, you’ll understand.
C G Am G
Now, they don’t say ‘cause they don’t know, or maybe they’re afraid where they’re going to.
C G Am F
Hey, little girl, who you gonna be? Looks like someone to me, looks like someone to be …
C G Am G
Give it all, spread your wings to fly, but in order to live, something else must die.
C G Am F
Looking back on where you’re coming from, on where you’re going to, on where you’re running from,
C G Am F
Come so far, seems so long, can you be brave? Can you be strong?
Am G
Chorus: All the things end, nothing stays the same.
F Am G
Do you believe you’ll make it someday?
Dm G C Csus4
So keep a match close by, but keep an ember burning tonight.
C G Am F
So many voices screaming to be heard, pulling you their way, it’s the only way.
C G Am G
Won’t you believe? Place your trust in me. If you take my hand, I’ll always be here.
C G Am F
But always ain’t forever when nothing’s clear, when what you believe becomes what you fear.
C G Am G
From far away, you can see it all, but get up close, and the world seems so small.
Chorus x2
Instrumental break
C G Am F
Hey, little girl, who you gonna be? Looks like someone to me, looks like someone to be …
C G Am F Dm G C Csus4
Hey, little boy, one day you’ll be a man, and all you didn’t know, you’ll understand.
C G Am F C
When you were young and not old enough and you wanted to know, yeah, you wanted to know …
