about
An original song from the fairy tale fantasy book, "The Thirteenth Hour," about dreams, wishes, and flying free. The main character of the book, Logan, is a reluctant hero on a quest with the odds stacked against him until equipped with a magical hoverboard that allows him to soar through the skies.
The music video, accompanied by an 8 bit pixel art Logan playing the piano, can be found at youtu.be/aKYmB4xZaMY.
lyrics
I'll Fly Away
I wonder, sometimes
Sometimes -
Where do the dreams go,
When the day breaks?
Breaks -
When I am awake.
Do they fly away,
Away -
Like a bird on the wing.
If a dream's just a wish,
Wish -
Do they find their way home?
If I had wings, I'd fly far away from here,
If I had wings -
If I had wings.
If I had wings, weighing nothing at all,
A dream and a prayer
Is all I would need.
But these are four walls,
Four walls -
Closing in every day
And I feel so alone
Alone -
Is this all that there is?
Can I fly away,
Away -
Far away from here,
Where nothing at all can hurt anymore.
I'll swallow my pride
My pride -
Swallow it whole,
Give up the reins.
If I had wings.
So l wish for wings,
For wings -
To fly away from here,
If I had wings
If I had wings.
If I had wings, weighing nothing at all,
A dream and a prayer
Is all I would need.
But if you would fly
With me
Fly far away -
So much better it'd be
So much better it'd be.
And we would have wings to fly,
Far away from here,
We would have wings -
We would have wings.
If we had wings, weighing nothing at all,
A dream and a prayer
Is all we would need.
All we would need.
That's all we would need.
