Aurora's Theme is an instrumental track that is the musical signature for Aurora, one of the main characters of the novel, The Thirteenth Hour. The melody comes, in part, from a track called "Because We May Only Have One Night" from a future Thirteenth Hour soundtrack as well as another instrumental piece written for a future song Aurora will sing. It is in the key of G.

When writing it and choosing which tones to use, I thought back to 80s movies like Some Kind of Wonderful and The Breakfast Club, which often had incidental synth sections using mainly keyboards to create an introspective mood.
